Editorial policy of the journal

1. General Provisions

The Ukrainian Science Hub Journal is an interdisciplinary scholarly publication that presents the results of theoretical and applied research in the following fields:

  • food technologies and biotechnology,

  • product quality and safety,

  • standardization, certification, and conformity assessment,

  • beekeeping and bee products,

  • technologies for the production and processing of livestock products,

  • veterinary medicine and expertise.

The aim of the Ukrainian Science Hub Journal is to provide an authoritative platform for sharing applied and theoretical research aimed at ensuring the quality, innovation, and safety of food products; advancing beekeeping; implementing modern livestock processing technologies and best practices in veterinary medicine; and harmonizing standardization and certification systems in accordance with international regulations.

The journal seeks to promote the integration of Ukrainian science into the global scientific community, disseminate advanced solutions, and foster interdisciplinary research cooperation.

2. Objectives of the Journal

The journal's objectives include:

  • publishing relevant research;

  • disseminating scientific and practical recommendations for implementation in the food industry, quality control laboratories, the agricultural sector, and veterinary practice;

  • ensuring open access to research findings for a wide range of specialists — from scientists and educators to practitioners, producers, and certification experts;

  • fostering cross-sector dialogue among researchers, businesses, government bodies, and civil society regarding innovation, regulation, and industry development;

  • supporting young researchers through publication of their work, peer review, and involvement in the editorial and scientific community.

3. Types of Publications

The journal accepts:

  • research articles (original studies),

  • review articles,

  • short communications,

  • case studies (practical cases),

  • book reviews and literature overviews.

4. Publication Languages

Articles are published in English and Ukrainian (with translation of abstracts and keywords provided).

5. Open Access Policy

The journal adheres to the principles of Open Access — all materials are freely available online. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication.

6. Academic Integrity

The Editorial Board does not tolerate plagiarism, duplicate publication, or data manipulation. All submitted materials are checked using anti-plagiarism systems.

Publication is carried out only after double-blind peer review.

7. Peer Review Process

  • Articles undergo double-blind peer review (reviewers do not know the authors, and vice versa).

  • Reviews are performed by independent experts in the relevant field.

  • Authors receive constructive comments, recommendations, and a decision: acceptance, revision, or rejection.

8. Conflict of Interest Policy

Authors, editors, and reviewers must declare any conflict of interest related to funding, employers, personal or professional relationships that may influence the objectivity of the material or evaluation.

9. Publication Ethics

The journal adheres to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) standards, principles of fair communication, respect for copyright, data reliability, and transparent scientific practice.

10. Indexing and Dissemination

The journal aims to be indexed in international databases (DOAJ, Crossref, Index Copernicus, Scopus/ESCI) and assigns a DOI to each article.

11. Editorial Responsibility

The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject any submission that does not meet ethical, quality, or thematic requirements. Decisions are made independently of the author's nationality, religion, gender, or views.

12. Policy Regarding Aggressor States and Individuals Supporting Aggression

12.1 The Ukrainian Science Hub Journal and the Private Research Institution “Ukrainian Science Hub” do not support, promote, or publish scientific materials authored by citizens or permanent residents of states recognized by Ukrainian legislation as aggressor states, including the Russian Federation and others.

12.2 The journal does not collaborate with individuals, institutions, or organizations that directly or indirectly:

  • support, justify, or disseminate narratives aimed at legitimizing military aggression against Ukraine;

  • cooperate with state or non-state entities of aggressor countries;

  • maintain academic, scientific, financial, or reputational ties with Russia or other states engaged in aggression against Ukraine.

12.3 The journal does not support the citation, dissemination, or promotion of research published by authors or institutions from aggressor states, except when critically necessary for scientific analysis, debunking misinformation, countering disinformation, or ensuring completeness of evidence.

12.4 Any materials submitted by authors affiliated with aggressor states are automatically rejected without review.
